About Brittany

Hey there, I’m Brittany Thaw, a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (MFT-Intern), born and raised right here in Las Vegas. I’ve always been fascinated by the human mind, and the fact that
psychology is constantly evolving keeps me on my toes. There’s always something new to discover, and I love that!

Life has thrown its curveballs my way, and I’ve experienced those moments of feeling lost and disconnected. But through learning to understand my emotions, accept them, and express them, I realized I have the power to shape my own life! That’s the kind of empowerment I want to help you find, because I know it can ignite a sense of hope.

Outside the therapy room, I cherish spending time with my loved ones and exploring the wonders of the night sky through astrophotography. As a self-proclaimed introvert and homebody, I also enjoy cozying up with video games—they’re like my own personal choose-your-own-adventure story!

I believe therapy is a journey of self-discovery, and your goals are the compass. Uncovering insights into your own experiences is where the magic happens. While some seek therapy looking for answers about who they are, I believe the real power lies in discovering those
answers for yourself. Together, we will explore your experiences and help you create a clearer picture of who you truly are.

How I Help

In our early sessions, I prioritize building a connection and learning about your family history. Openness and honesty are key to growth, so I strive to create a safe space where you feel comfortable sharing. I’m genuinely curious about the patterns and dynamics in your family, and exploring them together offers a chance to understand how they have shaped you.

Each session will be unique because you are one-of-a-kind! While we’ll address immediate concerns, I am to identify underlying themes and patterns that connect the dots. Bridging the gap between your described experiences and your lived reality is important to me. It’s about acknowledging those hidden shame points that brought you to therapy and imagining how your life could unfold from a fresh perspective.

Confronting the dilemma of change can be challenging, but it is a crucial step. As the expert on your own life, you deserve to be challenged when needed. My natural curiosity will hopefully inspire you to explore those patterns and discover the changes you seek.

I specialize in working with individuals ages 8 and up facing anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions. I also offer couples therapy, where I focus on building trust with each partner and fostering the understanding that the relationship itself is the client.
