About Jadra
Hi, my name is Jadra Chan, and I’m a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (MFT-Intern). I grew up in Bozeman, Montana, but after high school, I moved to Los Angeles in hopes of pursuing a professional dance career. However, I gradually realized that what I once cherished was becoming a source of stress and unhealthy patterns for me. As I navigated this journey, I found myself drawn to the mental health field. Having witnessed firsthand the positive impact of my own family members attending outpatient therapy and the way it has strengthened the bond between my mom, my sister, and me has been truly inspiring. Seeing the people I love most heal and grow has further motivated me to pursue this path.
My husband and I recently relocated to Las Vegas from California, eager to establish a home and build a life together! When I’m not working, I find joy in the simple pleasures of life. I’m a true homebody at heart, and some of my favorite things include spending quality time with our beloved German Shepherd, Rocky, getting lost in a good book, or rewatching episodes of FRIENDS – my ultimate comfort show!
How I Help
Taking the first step into therapy can feel overwhelming, and I understand that! My goal is to create a warm, welcoming space where you feel safe to explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. We will work together to build a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust and mutual respect. Remember—you are not alone in this journey! I’ll be there to offer support, guidance, and a fresh perspective as you navigate life’s challenges.
Change is a process, not an overnight transformation! We’ll celebrate your progress, no matter how big or small, and acknowledge that setbacks are a natural part of growth. I’ll help you develop coping skills and challenge unhelpful thought patterns. Together, we’ll create a personalized roadmap for your journey toward healing and self-discovery! I work individually with clients 8 years old and older – specializing in trauma, self-esteem issues, anxiety, and depression.
I also have a huge passion for working with couples to overcome relational challenges. Every relationship has its unique dynamics and challenges. In couples therapy, I strive to create a neutral and supportive environment where both partners feel heard and understood. We will work collaboratively to identify communication patterns, uncover underlying issues, and develop strategies for resolving conflict.
My approach emphasizes open communication, mutual respect, and empathy. We’ll practice active listening, learn to express needs and feelings effectively, and foster a deeper connection with your partner. Remember—the goal isn’t perfection but progress! We’ll celebrate your successes, navigate challenges together, and build a stronger, healthier relationship!
