About Jess

Hello! My name is Jess, and I am a Clinical Professional Counselor Intern (CPC-Intern). I grew up in a small town and moved away for college, dreaming of living in a big city. I eventually moved to Las Vegas in 2015, and although it didn’t start quite how I expected, Las Vegas has proved to me that what matters most is the people you surround yourself with.

In 2022, my fiancé Jesse, proposed and has made life so much more enjoyable in so many ways. One way was introducing me to Teddy (Ted), who pretends he is a sly and cool all-black cat but is really a quirky and sweet kitty! We both have a passion for live music and discovering new artists. Music is an incredible way to connect with others, and I have made so many amazing friends through it!

I also love working with kids, both in the therapy field and in theater. I am a youth theater director and love helping kids develop their theater and audition skills while directing plays and improve! My most recent show was “Little Red Robin Hood,” which is a fun retelling of Little Red Riding Hood with a Robin Hood twist!

How I Help

I grew up with divorced parents and had to deal with many unpredictable transitions that were beyond my control, leaving me feeling scared at times. The only way I could cope with these situations was with the help of others and therapy. These early life experiences have ignited a passion in me to work with children and adolescents, helping them find their agency, discover their identity, and advocating for them.

In my therapy approach, I prioritize your needs. We work together to create a treatment plan that best fits your own goals, which we consistently reassess. During our sessions, my aim is to provide a comfortable space where you feel heard and understood. If that means taking a walk outside, playing a game, or discussing music, then that’s what we’ll do! I love hearing about and learning what you are passionate about, and I work to build connection and trust from there.

My specialties include seeing clients aged 4-25, life or familial transitions, LGBTQIA+ and Suicidality. I use various therapy techniques depending on your needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and behavioral activation.
