About Jess

Hello! I’m Jess, and I am a Clinical Professional Counselor Intern (CPC-Intern). I am passionate about supporting adolescents, young adults, and individuals navigating life’s transitions. I grew up in a small town and moved away for college, dreaming of a bigger world. In 2015, I made Las Vegas my home. While the journey wasn’t exactly what I imagined, I’ve learned that the people you surround yourself with make all the difference.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent 10 years working in the service industry, including years as a server and bartender on the Las Vegas Strip. I understand the unique pressures, stress, and emotional toll that can come with service roles. I know how hard it can be to pour yourself into others every day while quietly holding your own struggles. If you work in the service or hospitality industry and feel like you’re carrying more than you can share, I want you to know: you don’t have to do it alone.

In 2024, I married my husband, Jesse, who fills my life with laughter and encouragement. Together, we share our home with Teddy, our quirky, lovable black cat who likes to act cool. We both love live music, stand-up comedy, and discovering new artists—because there’s nothing like sharing joy and connection through entertainment.

Outside of therapy, I also have experience as a theater director for youth and community productions. I love helping performers grow in confidence, creativity, and self-expression on stage. My most recent project, “Little Red Robin Hood,” was a playful reimagining of classic tales, and I’m always excited to bring new stories to life.

How I Help

Growing up with divorced parents and navigating unpredictable transitions taught me firsthand how challenging it can be to feel safe and steady when life keeps shifting. My own experience in therapy gave me tools and support to navigate those changes, and it’s why I’m passionate about creating that same space for others.

I specialize in working with adolescents, young adults, and individuals managing life changes, family dynamics, identity exploration, and anxiety. I also have a heart for supporting those who work in the service and hospitality industry: people who often give so much to others, sometimes without a space to be supported themselves. If that’s you, I want to offer a space where you get to be cared for, listened to, and prioritized.

I take a person-centered, collaborative approach. We’ll work together to create a treatment plan that fits your goals, values, and needs, and we’ll keep checking in along the way to make sure it still feels right. In our sessions, we might talk, play a game, explore music, or find creative ways to process what’s going on. I believe in transparency and follow-through, and I want you to always know what we’re working on and why.

I often tell clients, “You live in your own mind palace, and I’m asking you to show me around.” I’ll ask thoughtful questions to make sure I understand your experiences, because your voice and story matter.

My specialties include working with clients ages 12 and up, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and anyone navigating transitions, anxiety, or family-related stress. I draw from approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and behavioral activation, tailoring each session to your unique journey.
