About Leslie
I found my way to therapy through my own healing journey. After experiencing firsthand how my personal transformation rippled positively into my children’s lives, I became passionate about creating that same authentic connection for others navigating their own path forward.
For over four years, I’ve co-taught group therapy classes on codependency, and that experience has shaped so much of how I work. I’ve gained deep insight into how self-esteem touches every aspect of our lives. I believe that many of the struggles we face—anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, identity exploration—trace back to how we see and value ourselves. When we learn to identify our truth and protect it, real change becomes possible!
Outside the therapy room, you’ll find me happiest when all four of my children are together! I love listening to their laughter and banter. Personally, I love cooking, exercising, and reading (or more realistically, listening to audiobooks during my commute). I also have two ridiculous rescue dogs who make me laugh most of the time—unless they’re being naughty! I enjoy singing and dancing in my kitchen, especially when I’m cooking or if it embarrasses my kids. That playful side shows up in session when it feels right, too!
When you leave a session with me, I hope you feel lighter and walk away with a new perspective you didn’t have when you arrived. You’re the one doing the hard work—my job is to help supply the options and a safe space to explore them.
How I Help
I work primarily with teens, adults, couples, and families who are navigating self-esteem challenges, anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, prenatal and postpartum experiences, co-parenting dynamics, and LGBTQIA+ identity exploration. I’m particularly drawn to working with younger individuals—high school through early adulthood—because the ripple effect of change during these formative years is so powerful!
My approach starts with understanding how your thoughts and patterns shape your life, and then gently helping you build the kind of clarity and confidence that lasts. I pull from a mix of perspectives—how families shape us, how we grow into ourselves, and how emotions can feel overwhelming—without getting stuck in the jargon. Most of all, I believe therapy should feel like you. I show up with curiosity, real connection, and an energy that adapts to what you need in the moment.
What I believe actually helps people heal is simple: you. You make the commitment to show up and do the hard work. I provide a safe space—often the only one in your life—and offer tools, options, and new perspectives. But the transformation? That belongs to you.
My greatest joy in session is when you walk in excited to share a story about how the tools we’ve been working on together helped you navigate a challenging moment. That enthusiasm and self-pride—knowing you’re finding a better way forward—is what makes this work meaningful for me!
