About Jordan
Hello! My name is Jordan Charles, and I am currently a student intern pursuing my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. In 2018, I moved to Las Vegas without knowing anyone to pursue a career in professional athletics. During my time commuting through public transportation around the city, I became familiar with the pervasive struggles of Las Vegas residents, revealing to me a community grappling with addiction, poverty, and undeserved suffering. Recognizing this was the beginning of my shift in personal and occupational goals towards the collective bettering of our community. Given this calling, I’ve made it my dream to work with people in a way that’s both genuine and tangible.
My wife and I are in the beginning stages of starting our family. We married in 2021 and welcomed our first child in the summer of 2024. We are animal people and have a wonderful host of pets: Julian, our pup, and our two cats Mac Mac and Pedal! Together, we love spending time outside whenever possible. I also have a great passion for our local music scene and love seeing hometown bands work hard for the enjoyment of others.
How I Help
I believe everyone can change and grow, and I look forward to helping you develop your story and shape your personal narrative. Together, we will work to understand your unique experiences and how they have influenced your beliefs about yourself and your surroundings. Helping you see yourself as more than your circumstances and gaining the ability to explore your potential are skills that we will develop together. I want our sessions to feel intuitive, offering you the space and time to reach your own conclusions, and provide you the autonomy to achieve desired change. Therapy might bring up strong emotions, but our goal is to work towards a place of peace and calm to help carry you through daily life.
In our sessions, we will create a space free of judgement. I want you to know that we are walking through your challenges together. Understanding your perspective is important as we process and express your thoughts and feelings through dialogue and collaboration. I am a storyteller at heart and am excited to listen and help you understand yourself in more ways than one. Focusing on effective communication is always a goal in our sessions, as we foster the tools needed for genuine self expression. Learning how to talk through situations can help you understand not only yourself, but where others are coming from too. I strongly believe that effective communication is what makes improvement possible! I work with clients aged 10 and older and have a particular passion for working with people who struggle with isolation, social anxiety, and internet addiction. I look forward to joining you on your healing, growth, and developmental journey
