About Madison

Hi there! My name is Madison Jaquez. I am originally from Casper, Wyoming, but Las Vegas has become my home away from home. I am a student intern pursuing my Master of Arts in Social Work from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I came here for my undergrad in psychology and had the incredible opportunity to be on the UNLV dance team. Coming from a small town, experiencing the vibrant diversity of Las Vegas has been truly eye-opening. It’s been beautiful to see how people’s backgrounds shape their lives, and I am so grateful to be a part of such a diverse community!

When I am not studying or seeing clients, you can usually find me enjoying amazing live music (especially country music!), camping with friends and family (absolutely LOVE sitting around the campfire), and enjoying the fantastic restaurants Las Vegas has to offer (I’m a real foodie)!

How I Help

I believe that therapy should feel like a warm hug – a safe space where you can be completely yourself without fear of judgment. In our sessions, my priority is to meet you exactly where you are and ensure you feel comfortable and understood. We all know that there’s still a stigma around mental health, and sometimes that can make therapy feel like you have to put on a show. But that’s not how we roll here! Authenticity is key – because lasting change can only happen when you’re true to yourself.

Your family history, your cultural background, your beliefs – all of these things make you unique. And because of that, everyone’s healing journey will look a little different. Sometimes, we’ll dive deep into your struggles and build coping skills to help you navigate life’s challenges. Other times, it might just be about feeling seen and validated in your experiences. You’re the expert on your life, so I’ll always encourage you to be open about what you need from each session and what your goals are.

Therapy isn’t about me giving you advice or telling you how to live your life. It’s about empowering you with the tools to take control and create the life you want. We’ll work together to understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. By recognizing and addressing unhelpful thought patterns, we can develop healthier coping mechanisms to face life’s challenges head-on.

I’m a big believer in the power of community. Big life changes can feel lonely, but having a supportive network can make all the difference. I’ll always encourage you to find or build your community because I know firsthand how impactful it can be.

I truly believe everyone has the capacity for change, and I’m excited to help you discover that power within yourself. Taking that first step to reach out for therapy is huge, so give yourself a pat on the back! This is the beginning of an amazing journey, and I’m honored to walk alongside you.
