Addiction Therapy
Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.

What Is Addiction?
Addiction is the overwhelming feeling of being absorbed in something that you are unable to resist, despite your best efforts. For many, the object of addiction constantly occupies your thought life. “When am I going to get to _____ next?” Just fill in the blank with the object of addiction. Ironically, this question often immediately follows the addictive behavior. Then the participant begins planning when and how their next addictive experience will occur. Thankfully, addiction therapy can provide the tools to anyone struggling with these patterns.
Many people think primarily of alcohol and drugs when they think of addiction. However, addiction can be the inability to resist anything or anyone, both good and bad. Yes, even healthy objects can become addictions. In fact, healthy traits without moderation are often overlooked. Unfortunately, these traits are often praised by society as an achievement, making them harder to identify as addictions. Some common objects of addiction include drugs, alcohol, exercise, food, pornography, gambling, shopping, work, or a love interest.
Regardless of the object, addiction is psychological prison that keeps its subject captive. Current statistics show that this disorder affects millions of Americans of all ages, races, backgrounds, and genders. But, it doesn’t need to be this way. Freedom is available to anyone who commits to addiction therapy.
