About Victoria
Hi — I’m Victoria Pannel, a Clinical Professional Counselor – Intern (CPC-Intern) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). Growing up in rural Oregon, I saw how limited access to quality mental health and addiction counselors could be in remote areas. Even more than that, I felt that the stigma of people knowing your business in a small town could really stop people from getting the help that they needed. When I later moved to Nevada and began volunteering with animal rescues, I was struck by how many of the same struggles showed up in a completely different setting. In both rural and urban communities, I kept seeing the same needs underneath the pain: support, safety, and understanding. With this knowledge, I knew that I was passionate about working in a field that allowed me to target these common factors and am excited to show up with my clients with compassion and the comprehensive care that they need and deserve.
In session, I feel most connected when you feel supported enough to show up as your most authentic self — when you can speak openly about what you’re carrying without fear of being judged or misunderstood. I believe healing grows through trust and transparency, paired with meaningful steps forward!
Outside the therapy room, I recharge by volunteering and fostering for animal rescues, spending time in nature, and being with family and friends. I also share my home with my rescue cats, Falco and Shadow — and I’m currently attempting to teach them to tolerate harnesses and leashes so we can go on outdoor adventures together!
How I Help
I work with children (ages 5+), teens, and adults who are navigating trauma, anxiety, and depression, as well as addiction and co-occurring concerns. Being able to teach you to soothe and regulate your nervous system, restore your sense of safety and security, and reach deeper healing brings so much meaning to my work. I offer faith-based counseling for those who desire to integrate faith into the therapy room – making space for your beliefs, values, and spiritual questions I have experienced the loneliness that can come from feeling disconnected from what matters most and want to help you find clarity, peace, and alignment. I welcome clients of all backgrounds and life experiences and love to be able to integrate what YOU are passionate about into the therapy room.
As a fellow survivor, I am deeply committed to providing clients who have experienced domestic and sexual violence with the safe, empowering space they deserve — to feel heard, seen, supported, and to reclaim full control over their healing and their lives.
A big part of my work is helping you regulate your nervous system, restore a sense of safety, and build a life that feels more aligned with what matters most to you. If you’re wrestling with questions of meaning, purpose, or faith, we can explore those in a way that feels respectful, grounded, and honest — without pressure or judgment.
My style is collaborative, creative, compassionate, and gently challenging. I check in often, I value feedback, and I adjust our work together if you’re feeling stuck. I draw from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed work, Narrative therapy, and Existential therapy, tailoring the process to your goals. My hope is that you leave sessions feeling seen, respected, and encouraged — with a clearer understanding of your strengths and the next steps that can support real, lasting growth!
